Will they fit and would ride height be same as evo 6 standard shocks and springs

How did u fit yours, is the ride less harsh than standard, I suffer from lower back probs and need the setup to be softer than standard, the car has tein coil overs at moment and the ride is hard as hell !!
Do you have a link for how to go about fitting them?
What's the advantage of evo 7, 8 or 9 shocks and springs over evo6 standard shocks n springs??
Thanks

I have mine fitted with shims i made up but i kept the standard hub bolt hole size. Grant260 and Ross sport both sell kits.

I can tell you that the ride is alot better than my old hks coilovers. As for advantages the standard shocks and springs from either 6's or later models would be the same imo but the uprated bilstiens for the later 8,9s are a great upgrade as they are a better shock and once paired with a lowering spring work very well! I think they have been one of the better upgrades ive carried out on my vehicle even if it does sit a little higher than the coilovers.

As for fitting they are straight forward but do use the search button as this topic has been covered many many times even with myself asking lol

I´ll write this doubt in this thread because it is related to height?

I have been checking all the different threads about bilstein+eibach but I haven´t found any talking about the height.
B6 are standard evo IX. So If we fit B6 with standard springs how high the car will be comparing to a standard evo V?
B8 are the same but better to be used with lower springs, but I have read that you will probably lose wheel in B roads, less traction; that´s something I don´t like. But, is it really true or not?
And is it possible to use B6 with eibach springs? I suppose so, but what´s the diference between using them with B6 or B8 (mainly when I have read about the problem of losing wheel)

Thanks!!:smthumbup

Hi mates!!

Does anybody know the answer for these questions?:

The car is an evo V, and comparing to evo V standard suspension,

how high is the car with evo IX bilstein and standard springs?
how high is the car with evo IX bilstein and eibach springs?
how much better is the car? Is it better only with bilsteins or is it necesary to fit eibach too?

I have read biltein+eibach make the car handling better, but in which way? is it more comfortable, easier to handle or is it more effective?

Thanks again!!

Car with bilsteins will have a gap between a 17" wheel with oem size tyre and the front wing of 8cm aproximately on standard springs, and a gap of 6.5cm on the red eibach from an fq360, around 5cm gap on the black eibachs.

Yes it will handle and ride better.

Yes they will, you need to use shims. There are traders on here selling kits to adopt the later suspension on earlier models, try Rossport.

Thanks both of you mates!!!!:smthumbup

Marios, thanks a lot for the figures.
I assume you are talking about the billies in a V or VI, aren´t you?

Are these figures taken from the inner part of the front wing ( I mean, from the center of the tyre upwards to the inner part of the wing) or from the outer part of the wing (edge of the tyre with the side of the wing)??

If it is from the inner part, the gap is nearly 9cm If it taken from the outer part it´s 6 cm. (reference taken in an Evo V with standard shocks and springs, 18" wheels 225/40/18, which is the same as standard 17")

I have just checked it again.

Car: evo V with standard suspension and 18" 225/40/18, so similar to standard 17"

Measurement taken from the middle of the tyre upwards to the inner part of the wing 9cm.
Measurement taken from the outer part of the tyre to the outer part of the wing 6cm.

So according to the figures given by Marios (4g638) billies + red eibach are the closest option to the standard EVO V or VI heigh.
The option with black eibach is good too, you get your car a bit lower.
But Billies with standard springs is not a good option, the car will be higher than standard.

I hope it helps as it has helped me!!

Good job Marios!! as well as your Spanish :smthumbup
