Hi all just managed to find an sayc rear diff from a 9 to fit in my 4 and just wanted confirmation that it is actually the diff as listed ?
Photos where taken from within the ayc drain plug
Any thoughts would be gratefully recieved

Later? No, earlier by the looks of it. SAYC is E8 onwards.

That looks like an AYC diff. Impossible to tell whether it's from E4-6 or E7 without external pics.

Its an Evo 7 Diff AYC

It has an open Spider diff ( lower pictures of the OP ). The Later evo 8 / 9 S-AYC has an planetary gear set / device instead in the left side of the case.

the earlier boxes pre E7 has different breathers on top of the case

By the way:

CliveW , i trying to reach you by mail, but doesnt get an response right now.
please have an look in the spam folders, because i know that Gmail is sometimes filtering my E-mail in that case...
Or is there an alternate method to reach you maybe by phone...

As Steffen says, it's not SAYC as it has an open diff within the left casing. The SAYC diffs have a worm gear type torque multiplier in the left casing.
