My 5rs

After being without an evo since 2013, I decided to go older and different to all my others. Coming from 8mr, 9gt and xrs j thought the next one on my bucket list was a 5 or a 6. Anyway a great low mileage fresh import 5rs example came on here and i asked NigelS to give it the once over and bring it back if he thought it was a good one.

Anyway he gave it the thumbs up and dropped it off.

So since having it I've done the following

* All fluids and plugs changed
*Omp steering wheel
*Me old xrs gear knob
*Recaro sr5's
*6 wheels with ad08s
*And after chatting to pwpro sending it to Andy at Body and tuning Mansfield woodhouse to have corrosion on the wings sorted and full sides respray and bumper. Along with replacing silver seals and door handles. Just to give this 19 year car the refresh it deserves.

Things to do

*Brembo refurb
*Badges and door stickers
*Wing mirrors replaced
*Fit new gear gaitor cover
*Let pwpro work his magic once the paint is ready

Looks lovely that. What exhaust is on it? BTW what's the mileage?

Any power/suspension plans?

Just turned 50,000 yesterday. So low for year.

Paul who I purchased it from (full credit to him for engine bay, it's like new) had it rr at just shy of 330bhp. Pretty much standard and has cat on. It's got Tommi written on zorst and tit tipped. Suspension, I'm happy how it handles tbh. Don't know what it is

Andy at Body and tuning said it was one of the best examples he'd ever seen when he took the sills off. No surface rust at all

Cheers Pete. It is, like new. Could have left it with original paint but it's 19 years old. It defo deserved the treatment. 10 years ago amber's looked so 1990's now they look perfect

Yeah like everyone always loved clears on their Cossies Chris, me included, but then the ambers took over, they just work, especially against White

Lovely looking car Mate, like the little tweaks you've done since you got it too.

FYI, I miss that GT too, the ONLY car I regret selling! Never seen it since it went over to Ireland.
