Topping up AYC resevoir?

Could be me just been stupid, but when the car has rested, or hasn't been running in a while the AYC fluid level is bang on the full/max mark, but if I check it after driving for a while, it drops to just on/below the minimum mark on the bottle, when should I top it up, once it has sat for a while, or once it has got fluid in the rest of the system and has drained a little bit?

Any help would me greatly appreciated!

It is normal to have low fluid level after driving as it sits in the accumulator. Always check the level after the car has been off for a while

Thanks man! That's good to hear, just I was at a friends, the same day getting the car back after 3 months, and noticed it was at the min mark right after driving, but this morning, once the post man delivered my MILLERS SP-III, I noticed it was at Max, I thought I was going insane, so I took it out for a blast, and it went to the min, I wasn't sure if it needed bleeding or not! :P

Yes don't top it up after driving it. It will creep out of the lid and down the bottle onto the wheel arch and you will think you have a a pump leak!

What's the hate?

I have nothing but love for AYC (but then I've never had a massive power Evo)

Just another thing to keep an eye on, which could potentially break and the cost if it does break!

But I know the pros out way the cons if you know how to drive with it, so I'm not going RS Drivetrain yet!

drive it and then fill untill max mark... or, better still, top it up to the brim after it has been sitting still for a day or two.. works both ways..

and even if you have some spillage, it will just rust proof your rear wing.. LOL

Hahaha, definitely won't start rotting from the inside out, hydraulic fluid is like the best cleaner for your paint, screw all the snow foams etc, hydraulic fluid is where it's at!

Yeah - well there is that, I suppose.

I've had my pump refurbed, so it can cost you in "upkeep and maintenance" - the pumps don't last forever...
