fuel surge

for those of you who were at kames yesterday-a wee piccy to understand the cause of my fuel surge and completelack of power/spluttering and cutting out...a complete disaster of a walbro fitment..hole for inlet obscured[sock-what sock?] and the outlet at top barely connected,looks like completely wrong pump

the rubber bit is the wrong way round.

the suction part of the punp is being blocked! no wonder it isnt working

well spotted-its the wrong pump entirely by the look of it...
ruined my day
doesnt really show up on the road tbh-just circuit pace exiting corners

running the way it was a decent cyclist would beat it was ok on the curve towards the far away hairpin though-i liked that bit
still enjoyed the day though-found a few other areas needing improvement too but nothing like as important as the fuel...

what else has the muppet that fitted that done to your car tony,ad b double checking everything!,atleast u know now wat it was now

yesterday was a good trial for it-but it doesnt seem to be very powerful
will get injectors off and flow checked too-not having a sock wont help much in the cleanliness stakes..potential there in class a yet

pump

my new pump arrived today[thanks for speedy cheap service MSD]

as i suspected it was the wrong pump fitted

with back to front fitting....
...

correct fitted...ohh-and a sock...
