* * * Pace Ward MLR Sprint Series 2011 - Round #6 SNETTERTON * * *

.
Round 6: SNETTERTON
  • After one of the best ever days sprinting (and sliding!) at Oulton Park last weekend, the Pace Ward MLR Sprint Series travels across to a new MLRSS venue and a brand new track; Snetterton's 100 circuit (with normal 'grippy' tarmac!) for the penultimate round of the 2011 Series.

The Course:
.

The course is fractionally smaller than the Silverstone's new Stowe course (Snett: 0.99m Stowe: 1.08m) so we're expecting low 50sec laps from the quicker cars. Due to there only being one entry/exit point we'll be running a single lap rather than a lap and flyer purely as a matter of safety (as the line for the flying lap is the same as the one for the guy slowing down to exit the track), but I hope this means we'll be able to give everyone a maximum of 16 runs on the day

Key:
____ = The course
____ = Return to paddock
Green Sqaure: Start
Chequer: Finish

Date:
  • Saturday 24th September 2011

Capacity:

Practice and Competitive Runs:
  • As always we'll aim to give all drivers a minimum of 10 runs on the day with a possible maximum of 16 available (depending on time, etc)
  • Everyone is welcome and there are four Evo classes and a Guest class for all other drivers

Snetterton Sprint Timetable:
  • 08:00 - Registration
  • 08:45 - Driver Briefing
  • 09:15 - Sighting lap
  • 09:30 - Practice runs start
  • 09:00 to 12:00 - Scrutineering
  • 12:00 - Lunch
  • 13:00 - First Timed Runs start
  • 16:30 - Event closes and trophies awarded

Trophies and Points Table:
  • Trophies for all class winners and overall FTD will be presented after the final run
  • The Class and Overall Leaderboards will be updated asap after the event
  • Additional awards will be presented from Kleers for 3 fastest cars, and Ross Sport for fastest car running a RossSport turbo kit

Bookings:
  • On a first come first served basis.
  • Please visit the MLR Shop or call us on 08451 25 26 23. Places cost £129 for the day
  • "50/50" bookings should be registered by calling the MLR number above. Places are subject to availability up to the maximum number of runners (ie: full bookings will take priority) and offered in order of registration.
  • Please note Cancellation Policy here

Regs and Additional Info:
  • To remind yourselves of the Rules, Regs and Classes, just click here
  • The noise limit is 105dBA (static)
  • Passengers can register on the day (front seat only)
  • All bookings will receive a PDF info pack via email the week before the event

Sprint Insurance:
  • Will be available through Pace Ward - call the PW team direct on 01782 286311 if you have any queries or would like a quote

Tyre Support:
  • Steve Harkness Tyres will be attending the Snetterton Sprint, so if you have any tyre queries or orders, please contact Steve direct on 07734 798142

Will any additional furniture be added Darin?

Or just run it as the track is normally?

I will be at this 1 paid deposit
Just balance left
Reminds me abit of the Stowe circuit
I reckon the big bhp cars will love the straight
Like corky mentioned would be better with a few obstacles on the home straight

Mark,,
How laggy is your car say in 2nd gear
Is it more like 4750 rpm to hit full boost
Where as say 4th gear it would be earlier at say 4250rpm
You watch these big bhp turbo's and don;t seem that laggy really

Might be tempted into doing this, but will leave it late booking.

The prospect of seeing Northy spin on the sighting lap again is very tempting

Not sure mate, dont get much time to look at the revs whilst on full boost I find it better to watch where Im going!!

Its the drivers of the big turbo'd cars making it look easy..

Just hope there's enough stopping distance before clattering into the back of the car leaving the start line?!?

...just thinking of the totb stoppage area

Blacky's home turf looks a nice circuit tho
