As for the fuel pump voltage, im pretty sure they do run a reduced voltage, then increase voltage when needed, but no idea what that reduced voltage should be (and I could be wrong about this )

Yeah that's what a was thinking both wires on starters getting 12v
I powered the starter up today giving it a live feed and it was turning over but not firing up

So starter works when you 'short' it, but not when you turn the key, even though that also gives 12v signal?

(thinking aloud, but this just doesnt add up, trying to work out whats missing)

I assume you have tried arming and dis-arming the immobiliser? (kind of irrelevent as u say you have 12v signal, but running out of ideas )

When I put my car back together after the build I had a similar scenario, first of all my starter had seized, a few heavy taps with a hammer sorted that, then I suffered similar problems to what you are now, starter would turn when wired direct to battery but not with key, I found the signal wire on the starter was very loose on the spade connector, I slightly closed the female connector on the starter harness wire by squashing with plyers and hey Presto problem solved, maybe totally different to your issue but worth checking bud.

Update checked everything again so the starter is getting 12v at the main power cable but not at the sender wire when cranking it I powerd the starter up today and still nothing 90% sure it's the immobiliser as the cars not cranking and fuel pump is not priming

You can power the fuel pump from the single white plug red wire found behind the drivers seat in the back foot well. Seat base out and carpet pulled back.
What alarm ? As some have anti temper circuits that can be effected .

Yes had this many times with the cobra.
Replace or remove the alarm. You could bypass the two circuits.

Going to try a ignition switch if that's not the problem all get the immobiliser removed
