Brand new tme turbo. What power.

I bought a brand new tme turbo and wondering what power a brand new one would make ?

Just trying to weight my options as to keep it or sell it with it being brand new don't think many will be about in this condition and no point fitting if I ain't going to be happy with results.

The engine is a rod job with tomi cams side exit brand new tubular manifold

A FP White (71HTA) would be well suited to that particular engine.
I have a fairly low mileage one available.

I'm still liking my new 'stubby' Steve

Make sure to fit (your one) to the V when you finish it.

So do you have a TD05HRA-16G6-9.8T or 10.5T fitted at the moment? I can't see how it will 'feel' any different to the 10.5T version. I have a VII stubby fitted to the VI now with a 9.8T and just spools faster and feels the same other than that over my original fit. Think it runs out of puff about 6-6.5K rather than 6.5-7K so better for the engine I guess.

Most people I see in vids and have sat with on the road shift up WAY TOO EARLY to find out anyway! Most of them about 5K and it's only just kicking in "coz it's getting a bit louder than normal innit bruv" - lol

If you already have an HRA 10.5T fitted I can't see how the TME turbo will be better than that? The VIII MR (RS) is a better Evolution than the TME surely?

Both turbos very similar. Mak may win a smidgen on spool as smaller wheel. But MR bit stronger up top. Depends on MR condition and mileage. Prob not worth he hassle. But TI turbos are the best OE . If it was me I'd keep both , use the MR till tired then you have a spare
