Just been out to the garage, christ that wind is bitter. The bloody plug is knackered and slips off the sensor, and the wiring for the convertor is ****!!

wiring

aye-its usually the wiring where convertor is fitted-either at speedo,or box thats at fault...

Got it working but its not very responsive, its way behind on acceleration, any ideas?

I had the same thing, I had about 3 joiners in one length of wire replaced that n it was good as new. Id say check all wires to and from everything to make sure there all working correctly n not shorting out
