Although few have seen AYC diff successfully used in race cars with big Evo 4G64 on E85,
Here is the spec of the successful TA Evo that after winning, finally crashing - donated its AYC to another race car still using it today.

Clive - how do you think a ayc diff will hold up in a V running 500bhp? Road use only.

I'll test it for you:
bolting up 7163 T4..500bhp turbo on pump fuel.
Will also run E85..and that should ad 50bhp.

If it breaks...I'll be sad.

If you guys say that the ayc is better for racing like time attake hillclimb road race etc.. why anyone figured out how to make the ayc case stronger and relaible for high hp an torque like the guys at the hillclimb sceen that reach with them Evo's to 700/750 bhp, .?

I'm asking because I planing to build my e9 for hill climb and I considered the rs diff as premier option, and if you guys says that the ayc has more benefits it's taking me back for considering what is more good to use.
I saw 2 links one with profetional awsom that use evo x rear diff... apparently can take more torque( but who knows how to fit/if there is any need)
2. The G force garage from japan use the oem rear diff with 570 lbft of torqueonly with flash...

Any thoughts ..?

Well it use to be said on here that the 8 and 9 (and maybe 7, not sure) ayc diff was stronger than the earlier evo rear diffs. Not sure why or if its true, but cliveW is the guy that can give you the best advice

As Stu said Clive is the man to speak to. He manufactured a new AYC casing (his own design) on his E6 .

I think clive runs a plate diff in that casing of his..

problem with ayc is not just the casing but the fine gears inside which can also break.. the circuit racers that used to run a AYC diff had a external cooler for it (which should be used for prolonged circuit use)

for sure, in race use RS is the one to have (or other plate diff), properly setup and this is where Clive can work his magic.. it is a proven solution. Making a 700+ hp hillclimb car with AYC diff might be interesting but then be prepared to do a lot of development, both mechanical and with ACD/ayc ecu, to make it work well.. however this might be just too much for a privateer... I mean, the current PP record holder runs plate diffs and no center diff.. IIRC..

problem now is AGE at best your only going to get a rear diff thats 10 years young at worst 15 years ,its had a life its been hammered to with in an inch of its life all its life
bunging 2 or 3 times its normal horse power through it and expect it to play nicely is only going to be a lottery

I think it will break sooner rather than later. If you're not worried about that happening, then just use it until it does. You'll then have real world experience, and can chip in on future discussions with authority!
