I've built my share of Hot Rods over the years and like projects.
But, no offence but there are plenty of wrecks and parts available that can be used for this kind of thing, without having to waste a perfectly good car
I've owned my v for five very good years and don't have the luxury of multi car parking etc so one car for shows one for track days isn't an option
buying a donor at that age is fraught with possible issues so the most obvious decision is to take a car that i know to be mechanically perfect and start there
my v lives on just in another body and will i guarantee be the envy of many and will be loved by all
especially when she's leaving cars 30 plus years younger for dead on track
everyone loves a mk2 escort on cossie running gear well this is the jap way of showing the ford boys how its done
All missing the point :rotz: Don't worry, i've unsubbed this thread as it's too heart braking seeing something like this, and I don't make 'trouble' on other people's threads and that was never my intention.
I guess some people here value Evo's, and obviously other's just don't and it's 'just another Jap car'. Simple as that.
This is just like what happened with Starions, people would break and wreck perfectly good ones for the silliest reasons because there were 'plenty around anyway', then all of a sudden there are none at all.
There are many people who dream of owning an Evo and can never get one.
I just don't like seeing perfectly good cars wasted :angst:
It's far from being wasted. If it was left to rot and not cared for properly like most 5 & 6 then that is a waste.
Great project Paul
Very jealous.
