To say he won't touch it because it has so many potential problems would just highlight to me his incompetence with that model.

Im mildly amused at the thought that it could have been a subaru garage.

A man can dream....and does.

I'm not going to name the garage but they are not in Yorkshire and are not subaru specialists. They do have a very good reputation in other circles. I know it's a long way but I'm going to take mine to indigo Gt. I'm sure they won't mind working on the X.

There are some tweeks needed though But thats what you pay the professionals for
Sounds like you've gone for the SST version this time round Ross, may I ask what made you come to that decision m8??? Or just something different.

I asked a mechanic at a very well respected tuners on here what he thought of the X, he said he thought it was the best handling Evo but wouldn't dream of owning one due to all the issues they have.

This one just came up as a hospital case, but is otherwise a very nice car.
Must be getting old as I really like it

I would take it with a pinch of salt TBH anyway, it's yanks quoting their mega HP on stock blocks as usual. (4g and 4b in case I'm accused of being against the X)

Don't doubt the 4B11 as capable but as already highlighted in stock form it has its issues. I like how they say it's a whole 26 pounds lighter which helps economy, but they stuck in a car weighing 200kilos more than previous

Would be nice to see more Uk big build X's , doesn't seem many around? I wonder why?

Well, obviously you know about Evo tax, add to that Evo X tax and it's easy to understand why most don't get modded too far, they are horrifically expensive to do properly, over £31k went into mine on top of buying it!
They are dull as ditchwater in standard form but fantastic done right!
