Fake Powerflex bushes?

Recently bought some rear lower track arm inner bushes (PFR44-111). Ordered 2 sets from 2 different suppliers. Both sets were full price.
When both arrived they looked different : Different shades of blue/purple, different sized inserts, slightly different sizes overall, writing sharper on one than the other, no grooves on one set...
SUSPECTED FAKE

GENUINE ON LEFT - FAKE ON RIGHT??????

LESS GROOVES

THICKER SLEEVE

Can anyone shed some light on if the darker shade (on the right) appears to be a fake?

Thanks for the reply's.
Have contacted the seller and sent the same pics.
Have contacted Powerflex, awaiting a reply.
A friend of mine a few years ago created molds from some Powerflex bushes I purchased and they looked like the ones on the right in the picture when done.
Will update the thread when I get feedback from Powerflex

I stand corrected.

Received this mail from Powerflex:

"Hi XXXXXXXXX,

Many thanks for your email.

Both parts are genuine, however one is newer than the other.

We used to make these with a 19mm OD inner sleeve up until mid-2015 and then from July 2015 onwards we changed the design to use a 25mm OD inner sleeve. That's the reason one is larger than the other.

The variation in finish and colour between the two is likely to be down to the mould. A mould has a shelf like, and one could have been at the start giving a very clear finish whilst the other may have been getting towards the end of its shelf life and the clarity of the text and colour is not as sharp.

The finish of the bush will have absolutely no impact on the performance of the part however.

Kind Regards

James Bourn ~ Sales Director"

So it would appear the design has actually changed....now time to apologise to the seller

I doubt they'll be overly upset when you apologise Most people, including myself, would be a little concerned with the finish on the once suspect set
