They don't use an SD card, the logging is internal/ onboard. There should be a USB lead hanging out of the ECU. If not, you'll see a round plug which is where the USB lead connects to. The ECU comes with a lead in the box so if it's not there then speak to whoever supplied it to you as they may have "forgotten" to leave it in the car.
Software is a free download from Linkecu.com then go to 'support' and 'PC Link Downloads' and select the newest one from the top of the list.
The help file within PC Link explains how to setup the ECU logging.

That is a perfect reply, thank you. All worked straight away!
I just wanted to check if my temp sensor was working as my fan won't come on, the sensor works fine so the problem must be with the fan or it's wiring.
Will do some datalogging soon, few things I need to check.
When you're online hit "r" and you'll see all the actual values, see what the coolant temp sensor is saying.
If you go to the output for fan 1 and 2 or 3 (one will be Eng fan and the other AC) you can change the output to "low" from "high" and the fan should kick in. If not then look at the fan and control module/ relay.
Also confirm the set points for the fans to work, got to "Auxiliary Outputs" and you'll see "Engine Fan" down the list. That'll give you the set points for the fan triggers, then you assign 1 to 3 to the 2 fans you have (Engine and AC fan, default from Link are 1 Engine and 3 AC).
FWIW I'd save the current map file and email it yourself for safekeeping in the event you fiddle and want to know what's changed you can do a compare safe in the knowledge you've not overwritten it!
