Options to quieten down Evo X C-tec

Looking for some advice/options to quieten down my Evo X without having to break the bank. I have a de cat down pipe and C-Tec RTi (Non Resonated) fitted, it sounds great but will cause me issues with noise limits when it comes to track days, maximum being around 101db. Has anyone ever attempted to fit a baffle to the pipes with success, I don't want to drill a hole for the screws to secure the baffles without being certain the noise will be reduced enough. Alternatively I would consider looking for a used back box however from what I can see the c-tec centre section seems to join with the back box in the middle where as most other systems seem to join more to one of the sides. Any help would be appreciated

C-Tec do a silenced de-cat, no idea how many db's you are at now or how many it will take off, Nigel will know. They aren't expensive and maybe a starting point before destructive solutions.

If noise was a concern why didn't you get the resonated one?

As mentioned above, Silenced decat may lower it a few db.
I have looked at these bungs before but never went ahead with a purchase as I wasn't sure if they would just get flung out the back end with the exhaust pressure.

Noise was not a concern at the time of getting it as I had no intentions to do track days, like I said it sounds great. It's only recently I've decided to do some track days in the car hence this post asking for help re my options

As mentioned, in your position id probably sell ctec put on a milltek. I did the move tge other way round. Milltek is quieter but full acceleration still sounds great just not quite as..urm....asbo as the ctec lol

I've got a Ctec with resonated centre pipe. I've not had it measured but I'd be willing to bet my mortgage that it's still way too loud for a track. I'm running a decat also.

To be honest I'd bee surprised if a Ctec was too loud for trackdays unless the limit was around 98 or lower. Many are 105db and should be ok for those.

I have ctec manifold, elbow, decat and r-ti (non resonated) and did my first trackday at Oulton last october. I think iirc it measured 103.1db so with a silenced decat and resonated piece it should be somewhere near for most trackdays.
