I'm not a fan of the S205 but I would map it up to the "sweet spot" and leave it there, that will probably be around 1.8/1.9bar, but it may be a little more.

Hi,

Could you let me know what the price would be if I supplied the parts for the Rod Job?

I have Manley H beam rods, Cosworth 1.3 Head Gasket, ARP Head stud kit

Would need the fluids and other gaskets supplied by Norris, just want to know what price I would be looking at

Thanks
Will

We only replace the bearings if required when there on this job, sometimes they are best left alone if they in perfect condition. However if the customer requests for them to be replaced we can do them of course.

Costs pan out as below;

ND rod job £1099 + Vat
ACL big end bearing sets & oil pump supplied and fitted £395.00 + Vat

What hp do you intend to run on this? As you may also need uprated head studs and one of our ND gaskets too. Which I would have to price for you, or you can look at the thread.

Cheers

Si

Hi Si - happy New Year to you!

I was just wondering what your rod job is rated to in terms of torque please, or if you can remember (), what my spec might be...?

I'm very happy with my BHP being well within your recommendation, but as I'm running nice torque I'd like your view on this point please?

PM me if you like...

Thanks a lot,
Matt

Same to you Matt. I feel 480LbFt is ok on the rod job we offer. What are you running again? I can't remember.

Hi Si - thanks for your reply.

I'm actually quite close to that level currently, 470bhp and 465lbft...

Thoughts; should I take it easy and then get it remapped down a bit...or am I OK...?

450-480ish, just wondering how much a rod job, capable turbo and injectors would come to, or if it's worth doing your long rod drop in or full engine build to reach those figures
