if you post some more pics of the block overall, someone maybe able to help identify. 5 to 8 blocks arent that different to be honest, but I think a 9 block can be identified

Just got an engine, not 100% sure what it is, assuming EVO IV?

4G63

TO7803 from what I can make out.

I've been told it's an fq300 engine... does anybody know if that's right?

looks like that could be a 260 engine following patterns, Does the sump have an oil level sender unit on the drivers side, that if in your 6, isn't connected to it

Or are you asking if that engine can be fitted to a 6? If so, I had an evo 8 260 engine in my 5, pretty straight forward
