Great vids. Car seems way quicker than the BHP suggests.

It's great, it's a stock engine with a map and a C-Tec manifold that's it. It's done 100k and has been running like this un touched for 6 years and still pulls a healthy 365bhp Countless trackdays and nurburgring 12 times, regularly serviced that's it. Bulletproof is an understatement....

You clearly know your way around there Any handy tips for the ring I'd like to head there myself?

Do plenty of sighting laps, I would only push 50% on my fist trip, and make sure you got good tyres. The kirbs are really high, there is some fast cars there so keep you eyes in you mirrors especially if you see a German number plate coming lol.

Must try harder next time Lukas

Just shows what a well driven, well set up Evo is capable of.

Stock engine, VI RS turbo with roller bearing conversion @ 1.45 bar (G-R Performance map), C-TEC 3" turbo back system, C-TEC sorted Ohlins DFV, C-TEC circuit geo settings......and Lukas can pedal a bit.

Assuming you have decent tyres and sufficient brakes for the trip then...

Many corners are late turn in...

Turn in too early to follow the kerb and you could be in a mess...

Sighting laps and lower speeds are safer...

If you do not know which direction or gradient for next corner then be cautious about your speed...

There will be many faster cars with german plates and some of them will be sheds or less power...

'Nearly had a moment' or 'nearly ran out of road' almost certainly means you were going too fast for your knowledge and skill..

Caution, being steady not going for a time and slower speeds should see you ok and having fun to talk about when you get home safely...

I got told before I went if you can't see in your mirrors you are going too fast! Worked a treat.

Liked the one with the E30 M3.

Was planning on getting one before the evo..A DTM replica with an M5 conversion. Offered him 10k but he declined. So I bought my VI instead.

Nice lap. Good steady pace leaving a bit of room should something go wrong.
Really never seen the point in going to the Ring and driving the wheels off the car.
Looks really compliant with the humps and bumps round the track
