S-AWC warning message

The 'service required' message is popping up occasionally although the car has just been serviced. Pressing the button for over 3 seconds gets rid. The S-AWC graphic is working normally showing the bars when I corner/accelerate aggressively and all seems to be in order handling wise. Is my AYC pump on the blink? Hoping it's just spurious signal. Any ideas?

Send a message via ICQ to Brian Rees
First step, get a reader on and see if any AYC codes showing.
Was the oil in the AYC changed and bleed, this is not scheduled for every service.

I had a Periodic Inspection message pop up last month, dont think its the same as this by the sounds of it, and Mitsi managed to just plug it in and clear the message. Id have the AYC checked or get a code reader on it
How many miles has the car done?

mines been doing the same i thought it was due to my centre diff pins failing but the message still appears even though the box has been rebuilt. researching on here and there seems to have been a few with this problem.

if i take it to mitshi will they tell me exactly what the problem is or is there a specialist/tuner im better of taking it to?

Mitsi will just plug in a fault code reader and tell you what code its giving out and what they think is the problem. And then tell you your car is beyond repair and ready for the scrap heap! Or that you need to take out a mortgage to afford the repair

I would personally take it to a specialist as they would probably charge less to read it for a start, probably even free if your a regular and they actually know what the heck they are talking about

Go to a specialist to get the code read.

It's probably the pump starting to fail. Get it removed and sent to Harry hockey for inspection/repair.
