huge thanks to MG autos!!

Massive thanks to matt and dave at MG autos for my forged engine build!

Originally i took the car (6gsr) in to them for a rod job, bigger turbo, injectors etc, only it ended up being alot more work than that in the end! after they swiftly removed the lump from the car and inspected it it was found to have damage in the 4th cylinder! ba$tard!just my luck,i felt my wallet getting lighter just looking at it! Anyway nothing i could do about it so it was time to go down the forged bottom end route,so it was time to send the block off for machining etc, which gave me lots of time to concentrate on the car whilst it was engineless.matt and dave were brill and let me use all of their tools etc and the car was still on the ramp so i set to work.i got working on cleaning all the underside of the car then fully undersealed it,lots of bits like the front subframe and propshaft got cleaned off and treated to a fresh lick of black paint,it was looking really tidy under there!now it was time for the engine bay,we decided to go for a stealthy black look so lots of brackets, the ends of my strutt brace, fuel rail, inlet manifold and rocker cover were all sprayed up.dave also removed the air conditioning system for me.
we replaced lots of random red vacuum piping to black stuff and just had a general clean and polish where you cant get to with the engine there.
earlier on in the year i had also purchased some evo x front discs and calipers so they were fitted with hel braided brake lines all round.id also purchased some racing logic coilovers so the standard legs were taken off and these were fitted also.
The next morning i turned up at MG ready to do some more when matt pulled me to one side and said he had been speaking to ross(ross sport) on the blower and had mensioned my situation, ross had just built a new 2l long rod forged bottom end and it was ready to be sold with the exchange of a block, spot on,i had it dave went out the following morning and collected it. They then built the engine back up and before i knew it a phone call from matt came to say it was fully built and back in the car! a running in map was put on and it then went off for a MG autos fast road geometery set up. it was then time for me to go and collect the car, when i saw under the bonnet it looked soo much better than when it went in with everything looking clean and tidy and alot less clutted! so let the running in begin!
I ran it in within 4 weeks with it going back every 250 miles for an oil and filter change.the engine felt really strong and the new suspension set up felt great.then the magic 1000 mile mark came so it went back again for matt to put the proper map on it.after about a week or so the phone call id been waitin for came! it was time to collect it! i got down there and thanked matt and dave for all their hard work and time they'd put in to my build. The drive home was unbelievable!! it didnt even feel like the same car,i couldnt take the smile off my face and i still cant after nearly 3 weeks!! just looking forward to some nicer weather now so i can go out and enjoy it properly.

Matt, what did you think to the Racing Logic coilovers? Your opinion is valued before I decide between BC and these!
