Just a quick question for comparison sakes to Aussie whp...

What traps do the 500+whp stock block cars average?

just an update...35R @ 30psi on 93 octane US in this nasty 90*F + summer heat and no problems:

*Video* http://www.racevideoforums.com/forum...ane-30psi.html

I have a few new bits on the way though:
Buschur: built 2.0, stage 3 head, bf 272 cams, slicks and possibly the AEM EMS I have sitting here if I find the limit of the stock ecu/mas(haven't yet). I plan on pushing it up to 40psi on c16 race fuel and start chasing down that 9 second pass with my daily driver.

Melon, what kind of traps do 500whp stock block guys in the US usually run?

My car is stock weight and has gone a best of 100mph in the 1/8th and 130mph in the 1/4 mile. I'm hoping that will improve to 135ish with the Buschur stage 3 head and BF272 cams.

I've only run the car with race gas one time using c16. I kept the boost and AFR the same as my pump gas tune and only added 4* of timing. The hp shot up from 500 to 565awhp but my clutch was acting up and locking me out so the shifting was slow and I didn't get a clean pass. I've since removed the exedy twin disc HD clutch that was worn out and installed the Tilton twin carbon. Shifting is better than ever and I just mounted some slicks on my spare rims. I'd like to get in a few more runs before the new shorty/head/cams arrive.

he's a video from the 1/8th mile track...it took me several passes to optimize the traction and rev limiter.

I tuned it for 30psi on 93 octane this weekend:

I did a single pull with my g-tech for reference:

60' 1.89 (spinning like nuts)
1/8th 7.50 @ 98.2mph
1/4 11.45 @ 127.2mph

for what it's worth I've taken the g-tech to the track with me numberous times, it's always within a tenth and 1mph...usually it's dead on though.

the nearest awd dyno is 6 hours away

the local 1/4 mile track should open in a few months, the starting box is messed up and it caused delays.
How come the ambient temp is set at freezing point?
