I have been told that the later cars are easier to tune but that the older cars are more raw...I'm going to upset a lot of people but I really do prefer the shape of the 6!!! I'm on my second Mak now and tbh i love it, i've been lucky enough to have had two 8s too, one being a MR 320 which got heavily modded. I prefer the 6 because imo it's more RAW, has the looks too (again, my opinion), and i like the 5speed box too, the 6speed in my 8MR felt weak to me...

I'd hold out if i were you because you'll ALWAYS wonder what if imo cus i think you're heart's set on a Mak really yes???

Grey or Red MR > Mak

Mak > Silver MR

Has to be a white Mak though !

That is my opinion.

If your hearts in the Mak or a good 6,then keep looking,or you will regret it down the line.

I have an 8 MR FQ320 and love it, but to be really honest i have never driven a TME so can not compare, i did have a 8 GSR 260 with a five speed gear box but i do prefer the 6 speed gear box in the MR.

Probably doesnt help much, but like a few above me have said it's up to you at the end of the day!

Never driven an MR but I drove an VIII FQ330 before I bought my VI and it felt a bit cumbersome tbh. Drove my VI after that (completely standard) and it felt cheaper and tackier inside but a lot faster, sharper and livelier. Drove a standard TME as well and that felt a lot sharper than the VIII

Don't get me wrong here guys, the 8 MR is a stunning car, it's not called EVOLUTION for nothing, but as said, i prefer the older/rawer feel of the 6s etc and being 46yrs old i know what old & raw feel like personally..
