Hi guys, been on here for a little while when I still owned my skyline, as knew if I sold it I wanted to try an evo, so the skyline sold, I searched all the selling sites, Facebook pages etc , was looking for a 5/6 and liked the look of the rally art ones, then I came across a few TME which I fell in love with, any way long story short found a seller on here selling a canal blue TME, I know some people think they're the worst colour but I love the colour [emoji23] the car was imported last April so coming up to being in the country a year, seems to be a decent car, I have already made a few changes and maintenance that I felt it needed

Here are some pics of when I first got it

So when I got the car home , I took it to a local garage to get it up on the ramp and give the car a good going over... all seemed well, has been undersealed on import along with all the belts replaced, was told the suspension was stock but turned out to have APEXI N1 GOLD coilovers which I am very happy with, was also told the exhaust was a stainless system but was actually totally stock, but had seen better days,, this was going to be upgraded to a stainless 3" system [emoji1305]

Front tyres were worn on the inner edges due to excessive camber

Slightly noisey wheel bearing

But overall not too bad,

Let the fun begin

Next up was a damn good service so ordered the parts and cracked on

The car had intermittent rattle from the lifters, but the fresh Mobil 1 oil sorted that out thank god [emoji23] and new spark plugs BPR8ES gapped to .6 as recommended by Lee bell ready for a map once all the parts were gathered and fitted

Ohh and my private plate was finally transferred [emoji1598][emoji1598]

Don't have a pic of the steering wheel at the mo, is shade material with ralliart on one of the spokes, well was booked in for a few weeks ago but the clutch decided to slip, new clutch and lightweight flywheel arrives today but can't be done til 18th [emoji22][emoji22]

Had drama with the cat, had it booked in for a map which I had to cancel due to family commitments meaning not all the parts were fitted in time then a couple of days later the clutch started slipping [emoji35] so uprated clutch and lightweight flywheel ordered will be here Monday [emoji1598]

On a better note I had had enough of the wedsports on the TME so managed to source myself a set of genuine TME enkies [emoji1305][emoji1305][emoji1305] and for a bargain price too [emoji7], they will be getting powder coated to make them mint again next week 🤙🏼🤙🏼

Oh and found out my actuator is fudged which is common so gotta order a new one from an 8

Thanks mate! Definitely agree with you on the wheels, when I bought it the plan was always to find some stock ones, it came from Japan on the wedsports, this set came up when I wasn't even looking for the bargain price of £300! Not even in bad condition just been sat in a shed for a year or two 🤦🏻*♂ off to be powder coated next week

Update, clutch and flywheel all fitted now done 100 of the 'bed in' miles and feels great, can definitely feel the difference from the new trans oils too!

Just fuel pump and new 8 actuator to fit now then will be ready for mapping [emoji847][emoji847][emoji847]

Update:

I've covered nearly 200 miles already and the clutch feels amazing compared to the stock one, took some getting used to at first as was quite snappy but getting bedded in now [emoji1305]

Now I've had these forge header tank and PAS resoviour for a little while but I'm actually now in 2 minds wether to fit them or not, with it being a TME I don't want to modify too much as people prefer them fairly stock when it comes to selling it, any thoughts?

If I don't would anyone be interested in buying them?

Really sorry to hear that mate.. Hope you are ok!

What will you be doing with the car?
Thanks pal, I will live, that all depends on the insurance company, if they let me and it's worth it I will buy it back and sell for parts/break it myself , haven't actually seen the state of it yet but I know the roof and doors had to be cut off
