Nice car, fast and comfortable as you would expect from a new car.
I was surprised with the exhaust note and general sound of the engine. It sounded great and encouraged you to give it some. Pops and bangs on gear changes
Remap totally changes them very tame in standard form almost mapped to avoid people crashing them been running a remap for over a year and its a great car now.
Which remap are you using if you don't mind me asking?
I've bought a pe-owned DreamScience iMap, but haven't flashed the car with it yet due to having a temperamental O2 sensor that keeps throwing my CEL on.
I've always been partial to a RS, sadly even the mk2 is now out of my price range and for a 40k RS I sourced a 23k evo. Would appear the mk3 is not as amazing as I had hoped and early reviews made out. Though I hope to try one someday.
We've been running the Revo stage 2 software and hardware on the Milltek car for nearly a year. It's a very quick car with lots of track time under its belt.
Why do some people sound surprised, this is typical of new cars, same old same old for so many cars, how many times have we heard - Yes it's a great car but not there yet,......a stage 1 or 2 mod and bang great car. It could be said for Evo's, gtrs, type rs almost anything. That's why tuners are in business to turn good cars into great cars for sensible money.
I doubt I would ever buy a new car again without at least remapping it, unless it's one the wife drives!
Interesting to see how much that costs compared to an Evo to 500 bhp
