Hi help needed please guys
We are purchasing the above 3.2 2016
Auto or manual is one of the questions
We will be pulling our caravan when we can work permitting
Also we have seen a silver auto with few extras but dealer informed us it had no diff lock?
Now the other question we arnt in your face people but do like different . The other one is a pride orange manual that is fully loaded with driver assist and off road pack
But I'm worried the colour will be a fad and in 6 months we will be sick of it and people's comments
What do you guys think
Need make a decision for weekend
Thanks
Id buy the better motor orange is cool but how hard will it be to sell on
as its not everyone's cup of tea you could always get it wrapped any colour
any design you want?? Also if goes missing it wont be hard to find a orange in
a banana field
It was no slouch thats for sure and i have a heavy right foot:crackup:
It was manual but wished i had a auto for motorway driving.
When i was looking for one (all be it a company vehicle ) i choose it and ford gave to me for a 48hr test drive because my boss was concerned over fuel usage, so might be worth asking your local ford dealer:smthumbup
We've got 4 of them in the fleet, 2 manual and 2 auto - one of the drivers swapped from a manual to auto, and prefers the auto - much better and more relaxed in urban areas.
All of them are different colours, with silver the only one we don't have - it just seemed a bit bland. I wasn't sure about the orange at first but it's grown on me, although white is my favourite of the bunch.
Reliability wise they've all been fine, the oldest two coming up about 30 month old and about 60k miles. Not sure about the diff lock situation, although I know the 4wd system is meant for off road use only. As far as I know our lads haven't got them stuck yet, and they've been on some boggy sites over the period.
My brother has just bought one brand new. He's got the auto and made up with it. The auto does do a couple of mpg less than the manual though. Other thing is too that the flat back leaks in water if it's on a hill pointing down towards the front of the truck, there's only one drain plug at the back for water to escape. Design fault.
Hi Paul
So you would defo say no to a manual
As the diff lock I would rather have one with how much the ranger is
Thanks
Do you do the light bar that goes through the grill that has 3 spot lights on
Mines not got the diff lock. And never had a problem. I've fitted BFG AT2 tyres
My mate has the diff lock, never used it lol..
No I don't do the light bars. Just what I make my self.
You'll want to replace the head light bulbs too.
