The clio just about does the same for me. To work and back but I find that I rev it and accelerate as if I was still in the 4. It can't handle it though and overtaking, after driving the 4, is a scary ordeal. Needless to say, I refrain from overtaking too often. I've taken the 4 up and down the street just to stop stuff seizing but she's SORN atm. You should see the mould that has gathered on the Recaros though. I keep cleaning them down but the condensation is so bad as she isn't kept warm from driving.

Awww that long?!? God you'll love it when you get back behind the wheel! We've got a Golf TDi at the mo and i must say we're liking the mileage we get out of it, but i in no way go for 'drives' out in it, or the 'long way round' like i did in the IV, it just ain't no fun...put it this way, it gets me from A to B...

It's been 9-10 months since I've driven mine too. If it is the headgasket, it'll be about £700 I think. Better sorted than not though.

Yeah, still got the 4. Don't want to get rid of it but and within the next few weeka, hopefully, it'll be going to Jonny at AI Autosport to get fully sorted. She seems to be running well though but after the overheating issue, I changed rad, pipes, stat & coolant and she seems to be ok. Just my doubts and I want to ensure that the headgasket is ok. Will be back in her soon.
